Hardscape/Install Foreman

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hardscape/Install Foreman to join our team. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a crew in the installation of various landscape elements such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures in addition to planting of trees, shrubs, sod, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardscape construction and installation, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a crew in the construction and installation of hardscape and landscape elements according to project specifications and designs.
• Coordinate with project managers to schedule tasks, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Supervise and train crew members in proper hardscape construction and installation techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to execute project installations accurately.
• Oversee the use of heavy machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Monitor project progress, quality standards, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of materials and equipment.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5 years) working in hardscape construction and installation, with a strong understanding of various materials, techniques, and tools.
• Previous experience (5 years) in a leadership or supervisory role in the construction/landscape environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and project plans.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time, resources, and priorities to meet project deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steers, and compactors (certifications/licenses preferred).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have a background in landscaping or a related field.
• Additional training or certifications in leadership, project management, or safety.
• Experience working with diverse materials such as natural stone, pavers, brick, and concrete.
• Proficiency in using landscape software and technology for project management and communication.

Requirements:

• Ability to operate landscape maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
