Landscape Maintenance Crew Member

Willie C. & Sons Landscaping is hiring Landscape Maintenance Crew Members to join our team for the upcoming season.

$20–$25/hour, based on experience

The Job

We are looking for hardworking, dependable individuals to join our landscape maintenance team. Previous landscape maintenance experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Our maintenance crews perform a variety of work including mowing, trimming, pruning, spring and fall cleanups, bed maintenance, and general landscape care for residential and commercial properties.

This is a full time position with the opportunity for continued employment through the winter. Candidates must be willing to stay on and participate in our snow removal operations during the winter season.

Responsibilities

Mow and maintain lawns using commercial equipment
Weed-whack, edge, and perform general property cleanup
Prune shrubs and ornamental plants
Perform bed maintenance, mulching, and seasonal cleanups
Maintain a clean and professional appearance on job sites
Safely operate landscaping equipment
Work as part of a crew
Assist with snow removal operations during the winter season

Requirements

Clean, valid driver's license required
Previous landscape maintenance experience preferred
Willingness to train and learn for the right candidate
Must be hardworking, dependable, and motivated
Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Able to safely perform physical, repetitive work
Must be willing to stay on for snow removal during the winter

Experienced Landscape Install Foreman

Willie C. & Sons Landscaping is looking for an experienced Landscape Install Foreman to lead our landscape construction and installation crews.

$35–$40/hour, based on experience

The Job

We are looking for an experienced, motivated leader who can take ownership of landscape installation projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of landscape construction, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can effectively lead a crew in the field.

Responsibilities may include landscape installations, hardscaping, planting, grading, drainage, site preparation, and operating a variety of construction and landscape equipment.

This is a year-round opportunity for the right person. Our landscape installation season transitions into commercial snow removal during the winter, and employees in this position must be willing to participate in snow removal operations.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise landscape installation crews on job sites
Oversee daily production and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Perform and oversee planting, grading, drainage, hardscape, and other landscape construction work
Read and understand plans and project specifications
Operate and safely use landscape and construction equipment
Coordinate materials, equipment, and daily job-site needs
Communicate with Project Managers regarding project progress, challenges, and changes
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
Train and mentor crew members
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Participate in snow removal operations during the winter season

Requirements

Significant landscape installation/construction experience required
Previous foreman or crew leadership experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of landscape construction and installation practices
Ability to read plans and execute projects accordingly
Experience operating landscape and construction equipment
Clean, valid driver's license required
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Dependable, motivated, and able to work independently
Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Must be willing to stay on for snow removal during the winter
Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position

The Job

This is a weather-dependent, on-call position with no guaranteed hours. Simply put: you work when it snows! When a snow or ice event is approaching, we need dependable operators who are available and ready to work.

Hours and shifts vary based on the storm and may include overnights, early mornings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

Operate company plow trucks and snow removal equipment
Plow, salt, and clear commercial properties
Follow assigned routes and complete work safely and efficiently
Perform basic equipment checks and report any issues
Follow all company safety procedures

Requirements

Clean, valid driver's license required
Safe driving record
Reliable and dependable
Must be responsive and available when called for snow events
Comfortable working outdoors in cold, snow, and ice
Able to work overnight and extended hours when necessary
Previous snow removal or equipment operating experience preferred

Looking Ahead

Our commercial snow contracts run through March 31. At the end of the snow season, full-time employment may be available for individuals who are a good fit and interested in continuing with Willie C. & Sons Landscaping. Full-time positions and compensation will be based on the position, experience, and qualifications.

Part-Time On-Call Snow Removal Hand Crew

Willie C. & Sons Landscaping is hiring Part-Time On-Call Snow Removal Hand Crew members for the upcoming winter season.

The Job

The job involves hand shoveling and clearing snow from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and other pedestrian areas, along with operating small snow removal equipment such as snow blowers and small tractors. You'll work as part of a team to keep commercial properties safe and accessible.

Hours and shifts vary depending on the storm and may include overnights, early mornings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

Shovel and clear snow from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and other pedestrian areas
Operate snow blowers, small tractors, and other small snow removal equipment
Apply salt and ice-melt products as directed
Work as part of a team to efficiently complete snow removal operations
Follow assigned areas and directions from crew leaders
Perform basic equipment checks and report any issues
Work safely in cold, snowy, and icy conditions

Requirements

No previous snow removal experience required
Must be motivated, hardworking, and dependable
Willingness to learn and operate small equipment
Must be responsive and available when called for snow events
Comfortable performing physical work outdoors in winter weather
Able to work overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts when needed
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
